PictureAlternative Raku Pottery, Horsehair, Ferric Chloride and Two Step Naked Raku
Marilyn Bettoney Bedford
Marilyn has been involved with visual arts since childhood.
She graduated from Skidmore College where she began her interest
in ceramics and throwing on the potters wheel.  She also received a MS in Art Education
from Syracuse University.   After retiring from teaching locally she has been exploring Naked Raku
which means that finished  pieces are not glazed but sealed with spray or wax.
her inspiration comes from  the natural world, rocky coastlines, tidal currents, ocean washed stones
       and driftwood.
Her ceramics are represented at the Studios on High Gallery.   Or email - marbedford@yahoo.com
